The "Innovation Conference Programme" will constitute one of the event's main attractions. Fruit Attraction, which is co-organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, will take place between 4th and 6th November 2009, on an exhibition area of more than 20,000 square metres in Halls 1 and 3 at Feria de Madrid.
On 4th November, Alex Dower, Produce Director at TESCO STORES Ltd., Gé Happe, Sourcing Director Europe at AHOLD, and Jesús Gómez Rodríguez, Head of Fruit and Vegetable Products at DIA ESPAÑA, will participate in the conference entitled "The Response of European large-scale distributors to the crisis: repercussions on the fruit and vegetable industry". The conference will be inaugurated by the Spanish General Secretary for Rural Affairs, Alicia Villauriz, and the Chair of the conference will be FEPEX president Jorge Brotons.
The "Innovation Conference Programme" will also include two conferences on cogeneration and phytosanitary products, focusing on their role as competitiveness factors at fruit and vegetable exploitations.
Throughout the duration of the fair, Fruit Attraction will be open from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
