Sophisticated and glamorous, this is the image conveyed by the mini fruits and vegetables that are increasingly present on Spanish supermarkets' stalls, both in specialized shops and in the fresh food section of major supermarkets and hypermarkets. This latest trend illustrates the attraction of the Spanish consumer to the ingredients used by the chefs of the best restaurants. Thus, the domestic market now offers a wide range of varieties of mini-vegs, whose flagship is the pioneer cherry tomato.

Besides the small tomatoes that are already well known by consumers, the Spanish market today offers a diverse range of varieties, such as cucumbers, peppers, carrots, eggplants, zucchini, and the Brassicaceae family (broccoli, cauliflower, Romanesco...). According to Ubifrance, the popularity of baby vegetables also reached the ready-to-eat products, such as the blends of baby green salads, whose sales are growing strongly. The range of mini fruits turn is more limited, consisting mostly of watermelon, black or green-skinned, baby pineapple and mini bananas.
